I can't fault the cafe on anything. Great staff, food and beautiful views. I go out of my way to make sure guests go here for breakfast or lunch at least once in their visit.It's very clean and if you have kids the playground is lots of fun.

Really lovely coffee and cake this afternoon. Very friendly and helpful waitress. Great views. We were too late to have hot food but was pleased they have some great options for vegetarians. Will definitely visit again.

Had a fabulous breakfast at this farm shop and cafe. Good service and friendly welcome with plenty of parking and easy access. Nice clean and airy albeit a little chilly so bring a cardigan. Would recommend this establishment.

We've been here a few times now and while the format has slightly changed because of the covid still hanging about in places, we've still had good service with decent food here. As with other "cafe's" they built the obligatory allweather "tent" which now gives them indoor/outdoor facilities. The food is decent with some delicious looking cakes( got to watch the figure) with a little shop to visit. Clean toilets, decent parking and good views. I would say to give it a visit at least once.

Great views from this friendly cafe, with inside, outside and tent based service! Had a great lunch with very flavorsome Coronation chicken. Very popular with cyclists, but has good parking and EV charging point (although not sure deal with this.)

Just gorgeous food. Staff warm, attentive and friendly. Farm shop is well stocked with interesting goods you can't find elsewhere. Views stunning. On bike scenic bike route.

Good view, clean cafe, but the food is very average. They said they have fresh apple and orange juice but it was bottled from supermarket.

Great location and nice facilities (which scores it an extra star) but the food and service are very average. I couldn't see the 'farm' link in the food which looked bought in; the breakfast was expensive for something that was of the standard you would expect in a greasy cafe. These days you expect better

Great place for food, stopped today. Dog friendly, couldbsit outside, which we did, in a marquee or inside.Food was amazing.

We wanted to visit this place last year when we explored north Highlands over the weekend but unfortunately the place was shut. So when we planned our walk to Fyrish monument the other day, we agreed to stop here for a coffee and cake. And I can easily say, we'll be back for sure! Summer berries cheesecake was absolutely delicious. The view from the outside seating area is spectacular.

Walked in and got a table straight away, friendly service and delicious food. Compostable takeaway cups which I'm very happy about. Nice toilet and cute little shop.

Guys got breakfast rolls and I paid £3.10 for a strawberry milkshake that I can only describe as a coffee cup size and lacked in flavour. Would not be ordering this again.

Fantastic service, food and brilliant little shop with local products. Lots of parking available and they have electric charge points if you want to stop for a coffee and cake. We ordered mother's Day afternoon tea and it was absolutely outstanding.

Tasty lunch and the coffee ☕ was great,so much bought a bag of their coffee beans to have at home ???? place was busy but service was good and friendly. Plenty space out in the gazebo style tent which had heat too. Looking forward to another trip! View from the place over looked the water very scenic on a clear winter day such as today.

Coffee was decent enough, but food let it down. Pictures advertised sweet potato wedges, got oven chips. Salad was shrivelled and brown round the edges. Bun under toasted, so didn't have quite enough structure to hold the meat properly. Staff weren't rude, but must have forgotten to smile. Prices were reasonable, but you get what you pay for...The pleasant atmosphere and decor didn't manage to boost it to 3 stars overall.

Great location and friendly staff but very disappointed with the food. Both of our meals (macaroni and quiche) were soggy and microwaved. Seems a shame to go to the effort of setting up a new place like this then putting the food straight into a microwave, instead of cooking it properly...

Lovely Cafe and Deli in a quiet rural setting at Mountgerald near Dingwall, overlooking Cromarty Firth. Good selection of meals and fresh cakes, plus extensive Deli of Highland produce. Enjoyed our meals and the lovely views from this location, which has extensive outdoor seating as well.

Decent quality cafe with somewhat overpriced farmshop. I had a nice sweet potato, coconut and butternut squash soup followed by a baked potato with beans and a black americano. K had s bacon roll and a cup of fruit tea. Cost £18.45.The toilets were a bit of a letdown however. There was no screen to prevent women inadvertently seeing men urinating when a second person opened the door. Also the sink surface was swimming in water. Toilet gripe apart this is a nice place to visit and safe to sit outside under cover with bales of straw to shield you from any wind.Plenty of parking too.

A beautiful location and very comfortable. Bacon roll and flat white were excellent, and service very prompt. Children's play facilities available too, so something for everyone in the family. COVID-19 measures in place and everything was very clean.

Came across this little gem on back road from Dingwall to Evanton.. We only stopped for a cup of tea but I had a sausage roll(link) . Rather tasty and awesome to sit and enjoy the views over the cromarty firth and dingwall. Outside seating all setup socially distant as per guidelines.. Didn't wait long for food, and only left our spot as we had to go pick up the kids.. Looked popular with cyclists and has holiday cottages on site aswell..

I rarely post a review because I know any negativity is not helpful for any business especially now, however I am sorry to say I was so disappointed with lunch on Monday. It was a beautiful day and the cafe was busy. We ordered a tuna baked potato and a prawn baked potato. Ten minutes later they were delivered. Opening the containers we were greeted with a baked potato with a spoonful of filling. My friend could not even finish the potato because of lack of filling. Had originally planned to go on Friday but my plans changed. Monday to Wednesday government funding should not mean meagre portions. Will not be returning soon.

This cafe is my partner and I's favourite cafe to drive to, usually we drive about 30 mins but its so worth it! We love having the salmon salad and you get loads for your money, also a favourite is the coronation chicken or brie,bacon and cranberry panini! And soup too of course! We go every week when we can to get a bite to eat and get fresh strawberries, yogurt, milk and sometimes eggs too!The staff are amazing and really enjoy working where they do, it shows!The small gift shop is perfect for a quick birthday present too. Thank you for being our favourite!

Lovely bright and airy wee farm shop and cafe made all the better by the absolutely gorgeous weather and beautiful views. The staff were polite and very friendly even although we were just having take away coffees to sit outside in the glorious sunshine and take in the spectacular views. Coffee prices were average and served in large paper cups. Good value

It is a cute little town, we stopped for photos near Highland Farm Cafe but actually didn't buy anything. Some picture-perfect beautiful scenery. Our subcontracted driver from "Scotland Taxi Tours" took us here instead of where we wanted to go - not sure if he gets commissions. It sort of ruined the experience because we were worried about losing time for what we really wanted to see.

Easiest approaches from Dingwall, this is on the old Dingwall to Evanton road so a little off the beaten track, but WELL WORTH seeking out. Great views over the Cromarty Firth, superb cakes, panini's, pancakes and burgers, and great coffee. One of my favourite meeting places! They have also started trialling Friday and Saturday evening openings (seasonal?), so worth checking out as this would make an excellent evening dining option in the area. Food is easily as good as another larger restaurant near by on the A9, but for me this has a quieter, less noisy and more pleasant ambiance. Highly recommended!

Incredible coffee shop with awesome cakes to send you on your way for the ride ahead. It’s on top of the hill so work hard on the way up and enjoy the view at the top!

very good food which is reasonably priced, wonderful views, friendly staff...slight problem with layout in that people paying at till seem to be in the way of staff carrying food to tables...Maybe need to take out a table or two? Disappointed today when asking for eggs Benedict...simple enough dish to prepare, but not after 12 noon apparently....it was 12.15 when tried to order it. Inflexibility like this towards regular customers is a little discouraging.

It is a really pretty area of the countryside to be. The view is lovely and it's a relaxed place. Beautiful items for sale in the gift shop and food tasters at the door for you to try. The service although very friendly was slow. But if you're looking to have a catch up with a friend over tea and cake... it worked for us today!

Delicious food, coffee and cake! Carrot cake moist and zesty, frosting was lovely. Excellent bacon and black pudding roll and double macciato. Lovely facilities, place looks like new though it's been open for almost a year. Amazing views out over the Cromarty firth and a fantastic outside seating area and playpark. Friendly, welcoming staff and not too expensive. Relaxed, calm atmosphere, very chilled.

We were seated at our table. Then ignored. Waited 15 mins to be acknowledged before we gave up and left. Three tables that came in after us were promptly served. Four other tables were cleared and our order still wasn't taken. It's a shame as I've been before but will not be back and certainly won't be recommending this place anymore

Upgraded my rating as have been back many times since and the standard of service is always fantastic. Food delicious too and gorgeous views over the firth on a sunny day. Can't help but browse the shop when I'm there too. (p.s. My friend is currently visiting Highlands and came to study with you today, thank you for being so kind to her, she came back beaming at how lovely a day she has had!)

Having heard Great reviews previously I decided to bring a friend for lunch.Although 'a tad' out of the way, the Cafe was Warm, welcoming staff and a super array of dishes on the Menu Thoroughly enjoyed our time with you.We will be back.My Only criticism was not being able to accommodate my request to add gratuity to my bill for Excellent service as I didn't bring Ready cash with me ????

Great food and amazing view. My disabled mum and I went to the wrong door to get in and instead of telling us to go back to the main entrance they insisted on unlocking and opening the sliding door for us. Very warm welcome and friendly service.

This is a beautiful cafe and wonderful place to stop and relax. The views of the Cromarty Firth are spectacular and there's lots of space inside and out, with a lovely playground to the side of the cafe for children. I had the full breakfast which was gorgeous, with locally sourced ingredients. Coffee was excellent and there's lovely cakes and pastries too. There's a super shop attached with a good selection of produce and gifts. Well worth a trip.

We do a lot of cycling and stop at most cafes around and about. This one didn’t disappoint. My feedback is more related to the kind owner who was actually willing to drive me home as before arriving for breakfast I had a we crash on the bike and wasn’t looking to pretty. Anyway thanks for the good food and the concern for my health and safety. Cheers

I visited on the opening day and had the burger, a coffee (well, two actually!) and a cake. Firstly, the cafe itself is well laid out with plenty of room between tables and the views across the Cromarty Firth and onto the Black Isle are awesome. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was delivered quickly. The burger was brilliant. It was obviously home made and all the better for it, and the chips were equally great. I would not hesitate to recommend Highland Farm Cafe.
